The account agreement and general disclaimer is found below.
The IWAC Proposals website allows account holders to create, update, and delete proposals for the IWAC conference. Account holders may upload content to the site as part of the propsoal development and submission process. Proposals are reviewed by authorized users and, if accepted for inclusion in the conference, can be viewed on the IWAC conference website. This site is hosted and maintained by the Association for Writing Across the Curriculum (AWAC, see https//wacassociation.org) and Colorado State University as a public service with the understanding that neither AWAC or Colorado State University make any warranties, either expressed or implied, concerning the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of the information on this website's pages.
Information found on this website is intended for the private use of visitors to the site except as noted in the introduction above. Please do not use this information for commercial, political, or business purposes such as selling products or sending broadcast email. Copyrighted material may be saved in IWAC Proposal accounts and displayed on this website only with written (print or digital) permission of the owner of the copyright. AWAC and Colorado State University reserve the right to suspend or terminate the accounts of any individuals who misuse the information contained or who violate copyright laws on this website.
We do not share information about any of our account holders (e.g., email addresses, names, institutional affiliations) with any individuals or organizations. We will, however, record and analyze aggregate statistics about account holders' activities on the site to assess the effectiveness of our site design and to identify problems with the website. (Translation: we'll analyze how people use the site in an attempt to improve it.)
Please do not share your IWAC Proposals password with anyone. Together with the email address used to log in to your account, your password is your key to managing your account information and any materials you have added or uploaded to the site.
Please use a strong password for this site. It is generally considered good practice to use a long password string such as myauntsmiddlenameisnotbetty, as opposed to a string of letters and numbers that you might find difficult to remember. Should you forget your password, however, you can reset it. A reset message will be mailed to the email address associated with your account. You will be able to follow the links in that message to reset your password.
To guard your identity, please avoid using passwords that include sensitive personal information, such as your social security number or a work or institutional ID. It's also a good idea, whenever you create an account on the web, to avoid using the same password you use for accounts that contain sensitive information, such as accounts with banks, universities, colleges, and so on.
Administrators of this site may send periodic news and information to account holders through email. Most often, this news and information will provide notice of new features.
This site may contain links to other websites and documents. We have no control over the content of other sites and can not ensure it will not be offensive or objectionable. We will, however, remove links to material that we feel is inappropriate as we become aware of them.
AWAC and Colorado State University reserve the right to change this account agreement at any time. Any updates will be communicated to account holders via email.
By consenting to this agreement during your creation of your account on this site, you agree that you are fully responsible for any information or file supplied through your account. You also agree that you will not post any copyrighted material that is not owned by yourself without written permission (print or digital) of the copyright holder. In your use of the IWAC Proposals website, you agree that you will not post any information which is vulgar, harassing, hateful, threatening, invasive of others' privacy, sexually oriented, or in violation of any laws.
If you have any questions about this account agreement or the IWAC Proposals website, you can contact us at email@example.com.
